Letterkenny CDP Summer Camp 2017
Letterkenny CDP ran a children summer camp for two weeks in the month of July with 15 children ranging from ages 4 to 12 years old. The camp ran from Monday to Thursday from 10am to 2pm.
So when the children come to the camp on Monday the staff of the summer camp played ice-breakers games to help the children get to know each other better and in the afternoon the children entered a excellent talent show that the staff help out with.
On Tuesday, the children had an arts and crafts sessions ranging from drawing pictures, creating handmade puppets and made name labels for their water bottles and to top it off they had a paint stamp relay race which was messy but fun!!
On Wednesday it was a chill day, literally!! The children and staff had their pyjamas and watch a film while munching on popcorn then in the afternoon , each child bring their favourite toy and do a show and tell to everyone else in the camp, they were shy at first but eventually the children got confident and told everyone their favourite toy.
On Thursday the children had games day, where the children played board games, Simon says, musical statues as well water races and played tag . At the end of the day , the children all got presented with Optum gift bags which contains some colours lunch box and packets of water bubbles.
